Service Scope

SeniorSitters provides the following non-medical companion care services:

• Friendly visits and conversation
• Assistance with daily routines (non-medical)
• Light household support (tidying, dishes, laundry)
• Meal preparation and reminders
• Errands and appointment companionship
• Outings and social activities
• Wellness check-ins and family updates

Service Expectations

When using SeniorSitters, clients and their families agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the senior's health and needs
• Clearly communicate any changes in circumstances or preferences
• Maintain a safe environment for the caregiver
• Respect the caregiver's professional boundaries
• Notify us promptly of any concerns or issues
• Compensate for services according to agreed rates

SeniorSitters agrees to:

• Provide trained, background-checked caregivers
• Respond promptly to requests and concerns
• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality
• Provide regular updates to families
• Address issues in a timely manner

Payment Terms

SeniorSitters rates and payment terms are:

• Hourly rates start at $17/hour for caregivers
• Payment is due upon receipt of invoice or as agreed
• Mileage reimbursement available for approved outings
• Monthly invoicing for regular care arrangements
• Payment methods: Check, ACH, or credit card (where applicable)

Rates and payment terms are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations and rescheduling must be communicated as follows:

• 48 hours notice: No cancellation fee
• 24-48 hours notice: 50% of scheduled visit fee
• Less than 24 hours notice: Full visit fee applies
• No-show without notice: Full visit fee plus $25 late fee

Recurring care arrangements can be terminated with 14 days' written notice.

Limitation of Liability

SeniorSitters' liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the preceding 30 days. SeniorSitters is not liable for:

• Medical emergencies or health-related complications
• Actions or decisions of the senior that are beyond the caregiver's control
• Damages to personal property (except those caused by caregiver negligence)
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Injuries resulting from failure to disclose health information or changes in condition

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal information, health details, and family matters discussed or observed during care visits. Information will not be shared except as required by law or with explicit consent.

Background Checks & Safety

All SeniorSitters caregivers undergo background checks and screening. Clients have the right to request information about their caregiver's qualifications. We take safety and professionalism very seriously.

Accident or Injury Reports

In the event of any accident, fall, injury, or emergency during a care visit, the caregiver will:

• Call 911 if emergency medical services are needed
• Notify family members or emergency contacts immediately
• Document and report the incident to SeniorSitters within 24 hours
• Cooperate fully with any investigation or follow-up

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the appropriate courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Changes to Terms

SeniorSitters reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions. Clients will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
